Our Mission & Vision

As an initiative of the Umran Green Perspective Foundation (UGPF), UARA provides a platform for early-career scholars, researchers and students to engage in critical discourse and cultural dialogue.

Our Mission

The Umran Academic Research Association (UARA) fosters interdisciplinary research, intellectual exchange and academic collaboration. Through seminars, conferences, publications and educational programs, we aim to:

  • Promote inclusive and pluralistic scholarship
  • Encourage research on Bhakti-Sufi traditions, language studies and social movements
  • Support emerging scholars
  • Bridge academia and society

Our Vision

UARA envisions a world where academic inquiry fosters inclusivity, justice and peace. Rooted in the ethos of Umran — human civilization’s flourishing — we strive to:

  • Create a global academic network
  • Empower young researchers
  • Bridge Eastern and Western intellectual traditions
  • Foster an ethical and inclusive academic environment

UARA seeks to be a catalyst for knowledge-driven social change, upholding two core values:
