Call for Associates for Umran Academic Research Association (UARA) and Umran Magazine
UARA is currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join its team as Associates. There are two types of Associates available:
- Associate for Administrative Team and
- Associate for Magazine production.
The responsibilities for both types of Associates are outlined below.
Qualifications: Final year of undergraduate, student pursuing a Master’s degree or Master student, M.Phil, PhD, or DPhil is welcome to join UARA. Membership is open to all disciplines of humanities and social sciences.
There are no membership fees.

Associate roles and responsibilities are for UARA Administration’s Team-
Duration to get certificate: minimum 1 year

Communications Coordinator | Develops and implements communication strategy; manages website and social media presence; produces newsletters and other materials | 1- volunteer writers or graphic designer | 2-6 hours per week |
Volunteer Coordinator | Recruits and manages volunteers; develops volunteer recruitment strategies; ensures volunteers are properly trained and supported | 1 volunteer recruiter | 2-6 hours per week |
Networking Coordinator | Develops and maintains partnerships with research students and scholars; identifies areas for collaboration and funding opportunities | 1-2 volunteers | 2-6 hours per week, flexible |
Project Support Manager | Leads the development and implementation of projects, identifies funding opportunities, and manages project budgets and timelines | 1-2 project coordinators | 5-10 hours per week, flexible |
Associate for Magazine production
Position | Responsibilities |
---|---|
Section Editors | Responsible for managing the content and contributors of a particular section of the magazine, such as Feature Articles, Creative Works, or Book Reviews. |
Copy Editors | Responsible for proofreading and editing articles for clarity, accuracy, and style. |
Production Manager | Responsible for the layout, design, and formatting of the magazine, as well as managing the printing and distribution process. |
Social Media Manager | Responsible for promoting the magazine on social media platforms, building a following, and engaging with readers and contributors. |
Marketing Manager | Responsible for promoting the magazine to potential readers, contributors, and sponsors, as well as managing email marketing and other outreach efforts. |
Web Developer | Responsible for building and maintaining the magazine’s website, ensuring it is user-friendly, visually appealing, and up-to-date. |
Graphic Designer | Responsible for creating graphics, illustrations, and other visual content for the magazine, as well as designing marketing materials. |
Editorial Board | A group of scholars and practitioners in the field of rural women’s studies who advise the editorial team on the magazine’s direction and content. |

About Umran Magazine: Umran Magazine is a publication that serves as a platform for early-stage scholars in humanities and social sciences to showcase their academic work and creativity. The magazine aims to highlight the diverse research and scholarly work being produced by master, PhD students, and early-stage scholars in the field. The Magazine will be with ISSN.
