Call for Papers: U-Talk Peer-Reviewed Journal
U-Talk Journal – Peer-Reviewed Special Issue | ISSN: 3049-4133 (Online)
U-Talk Journal invites submissions for a peer-reviewed special issue dedicated to fostering rigorous scholarship alongside public intellectual engagement. The special issue aims to create a platform where scholars, researchers, and early-career academics can contribute thoughtful work addressing contemporary questions in society, culture, religion, media, literature, and civilizational dialogue.
We welcome submissions that offer original research, critical reflection, or theoretically informed analysis.
Possible Themes
Submissions may engage with topics such as:
Society and cultural change
Religion, spirituality, and ethics
Literature and intellectual traditions
Media, communication, and public discourse
Civilizational dialogue and global thought
Vernacular knowledge and lived traditions
Interdisciplinary approaches are particularly encouraged.

Research Articles – 5,000–8,000 words
Short Scholarly Essays – 2,500–4,000 words
Book Reviews / Review Essays – 1,000–2,000 words
Formatting Guidelines
Submissions must follow the Chicago Manual of Style.
Formatting requirements:
Font: Times New Roman
Size: 12
Line spacing: 1.5
Footnotes should follow Chicago style
Include a bibliography at the end
Abstract
Submissions must include an abstract of no more than 300 words. The abstract should concisely summarize the research objective, methodology, primary arguments, and principal conclusions of the article. It must be formatted as a single paragraph, double-spaced, in accordance with Chicago Manual of Style guidelines.
Keywords
Please provide exactly six keywords immediately following the abstract. Keywords should be lowercase (unless they are proper nouns), separated by semicolons, and specifically chosen to optimize the article’s discoverability in academic databases and search engines.
Manuscripts should be submitted in Word format (.doc or .docx).
Peer-Review Process
All research submissions will undergo double-blind peer review.
Authors must remove identifying information from the manuscript before submission. Author details should be provided on a separate cover page.
